The WEISSER RING was founded in Mainz in 1976 as a "non-profit association for the support of victims of crime and for the prevention of criminal acts e. V.". Regardless of gender, age, religion, nationality and political conviction, victims of crime receive fast and direct help. To this end, the WEISSE RING has built up a nationwide network of around 2,900 volunteer victim helpers in more than 400 field offices. In addition, they are knowledgeable and recognized contacts for politicians, the judiciary, administration, academia and the media on all issues relating to victim assistance and victim protection.
