Raishma – British Couture Between East and West
Behind Raishma is the designer of the same name, Raishma Islam, who founded her fashion house in 1996 after learning her craft from couture designer Elizabeth Emanuel. Over the course of 18 years, she created bridal and couture pieces for more than 2,000 brides, members of the British royal family, and international celebrities—in 2013, she expanded her offerings to include ready-to-wear collections, which have been showcased in her own boutique in Marylebone, London, since 2017. Each piece is embellished with authentic hand embroidery and beading on the finest fabrics, such as silk georgette and tulle—in a distinctive, understated color palette and with modern, flattering cuts.
